The Road begins. Neshika was formed in the summer of 2005 after a random
encounter between band members Gabriel Moreno and Yair levy. In the first rehearsal Yair and Gabriel already embarked on the
task of composing and arranging their first song “Solo un Salto,” which was based on a sequence of chords Yair
had been experimenting with for some time. Two weeks later the duo were already performing their first gig in a central bar
in Barcelona called “Domestic,” the acoustic set was a combination of songs written by Gabriel and arranged by
Yair, “Solo un Salto” and some covers chosen by them both. In one of those gigs Aida Oset was invited on stage
to sing along in some of the songs. The positive response of the audience and excellent sensations on stage set the foundations
for “Neshika,” a Hebrew word for kiss proposed by Yair. Months later and after gigging weekly Jose Maria and Pablo
Yupton were invited to set their talents to the task of transforming “Neshika” from an acoustic trio to 5-piece
band. The process was long and arduous but after recording a demo and rehearsing strenuously the band’s backbone was
finally strengthened.

Stop the world
The band has tried to join their pop, rock and grunge routes with
delicate arrangements flowering from the exploration of other kinds of more demanding genres like Jazz or Funk. The purpose
of every arrangement is to bring-out the essence of the songs and transmit the message of the music and the lyrics. Always
putting music in service of the song and never vice-versa.
